OUT DANCE PROJECT
We want to hear from you.

AUDITION PORTAL
Picture
The call for auditions for our March 2021 performances is no longer active.
Calling all dance floor-worshippers, drag queens, ritual movers, groovy land-dykes, and selfie-stars, OUT Dance Project is hiring SIX(6) rural queer dancers to perform in our online dance performances this spring. You do not need to be a “dancer” to dance with us. We are committed to hiring rural queer people -- no prior training or experience required. A willingness to move, collaborate, take risks, and be seen is all that’s needed.

We are looking for LGBTQIA2S+ folks who live or have lived in rural Oregon and are willing to DANCE.

We will be compensating hired dancers $650.00.

Rehearsals and performances will
take place online between mid-February to the end of March, 2021. Dancers will be working with choreographers to develop the dance pieces, and performing to songs that are important to members of the rural queer community in Oregon.

HOW TO APPLY:
1. Visit the Audition Portal linked above and below.
2. Fill out the registration form with relevant info and your availability.
3. Film a SELFIE VIDEO* on your phone or computer of you dancing, and link the file to the registration form where indicated. If you have preexisting footage of you dancing, you can link to these files as well/instead.

*SELFIE VIDEO: Feel free to improv, or create a mini-choreography, or put on your favorite song and jam. Whatever feels fun and exciting.
